Rivian Center Console Organizer Review: The $50 Upgrade That Should Come Standard
A simple, well-engineered organizer that turns the deep center console into actually usable space.
Here's the thing about the Rivian center console: it's deep. Like, really deep. Without some kind of organization system, everything you toss in there ★ mints, sunglasses, change, charging cables ★ just piles up into a black hole. You're fishing around blindly at stoplights trying to find your stuff.
The Rivian Center Console Organizer fixes that problem completely, and it does it in a really clever way.
How It Works
The organizer is a two-piece system. The main piece is an almost U-shaped tray that separates the center console into a top half and a bottom half, with a divider running down the middle. It essentially doubles your usable space by creating layers.
The second piece is a smaller sliding tray that sits across the top. You can slide it forward and back to access whatever's underneath ★ super easy, very intuitive. No fumbling, no removing pieces. Just slide and grab.
What I Keep In There
Things like a mint container, loose change for parking meters, keys, an extra pair of sunglasses, and a charging cord for my wife's phone. All of it has a place now. All of it is accessible without digging.
Build Quality
Very well engineered. This thing feels purpose-built ★ because it is. It fits the console perfectly, doesn't rattle, doesn't shift around. The sliding tray glides smoothly. It's one of those products where you can tell someone actually thought about how people use the space, not just how to fill it.
Is It Worth $50?
If I'm splitting hairs ★ should you need to pay $50 for a plastic organizer tray? Probably not. This honestly feels like something that should come with the car. Rivian clearly designed the center console with this kind of organization in mind, and it's a little odd that it's sold separately.
But here's the thing: I can't imagine living without it now. Once you have it, going back to the unorganized console feels wrong. It's one of those upgrades where you forget it's even an accessory ★ it just feels like how the car should be.
Final Verdict
5 out of 5 stars. Should come with the car.
Very helpful, very well engineered, and something I'd recommend every single Rivian owner pick up. Everything is accessible, everything is organized, and the cable management cutout is a great touch. Could I argue Rivian should just include it? Sure. But for $50, just get it. You won't regret it.
